Hannah-May Chapman

“What define my work most are colour, juxtaposition and humour. My subjects are carefully chosen to help reflect one, the other or all three of these elements.

I intentionally work with a bright palette and contrasting materials that aim to stand out and entertain. I always play through my design and making processes, as I create peculiar and exciting sculptures that emerge from the body, somehow conforming to the subject of jewellery.

Although my processes and materials will vary from project to project, I always aim to find contrasting textures or colours to render the end result entertaining and tactile.”
